In our effort to life a more "green" life and be much more Eco-friendly on a daily basis we have already starting trying to use less electricity, unplugging small appliances and phone chargers when not in use. Turning lights off when we are not in the room. During the day when I am home and working I try to keep the lights off as long as possible and open the windows to get the sunlight in, it's a little hard to do this now with the lack of sun here in PA. But we have been trying. Now with the price of electricity going up, we really need to get even better if we want to continue digging ourselves out of debt.

I have decided to start with the dryer, we really must have the worst dryer ever made! It came with the apartment when we moved in which was good because it was one less thing we had to worry about replacing but the thing takes 2 hours to dry a load of clothes! And I'm not even talking about a really large load! It's terrible. 6 loads a clothes a week = 12 hours of drying??? No thank you!! I have a folding wooden rack that I hang most of my clothes on to dry but starting today I am boycotting my dryer all together and will be hanging all of our clothes on it! I really wish we had a clothesline outside but being in an apartment with a super small patch of grass yard, there isn't much I can do about that. But once it warms up in the next 2 months I will be able to at least place my wooden rack outside to let the sun do my drying!! I am really excited about the impact this will have on not only our bill but also the environment :)
