So yesterday I hit 23 weeks(forgot to take a pic, will try to later) and we had our monthly midwife appointment. While the Midwifes apprentice was feeling for the babys position she said she couldn't tell where the baby was because she felt 3 hard spots, umm okay, is my baby misshapen? So the midwife came over and felt around and said she felt 4!! It has been a running joke between Derek and I that we are having twins, and it was mentioned to the midwives before, but they "ruled it out" for me before! So out came the dopplers and after a little searching the each found a completely different heart beat. Umm wow. Two babies??? How did that happen!! After a little while of me being in shock(and Derek couldn't stop smiling!!) they felt again and found the same thing along with the 2 heartbeats. Oh boy. I really didn't want to have an ultrasound at all during this pregnancy and didn't want to know the sex but we decided that I need to know for sure how many babies are inside me and it will be best to be more prepared so we will find out the sex if it turns out there really are 2 babies in there! I'm still in shock. We have an ultrasound appointment tomorrow morning at 10:00am, yea I have to wait another whole day to know for sure! Derek is pretty convinced we are having twins because the midwives said they would be shocked if we find out there is only one. He is running around with a huge smile while I am in a daze! I won't believe anything until I see the 2 babies on the ultrasound screen tomorrow morning!!

Yikes!!! 2 babies!!!!

UPDATE: We had our ultrasound today and there is a single baby in there :-) We almost found out the sex, but I had some self control and decided to continue to wait until the birth!

News!!!

**I am writing this on November 22, but not publishing until the day after Thanksgiving**

Saturday when I woke up this morning I made my trip to the bathroom to take another pregnancy test, of course I expected it to be negative so I took the test and crawled back into bed. 5 minutes later I looked at the test and thought I was seeing things! A second line?!?! Of course I shoved it in Derek's face(he wasn't impressed, hahaha) and asked him if he saw it. He looked at it and said there was no second line, then he immediately turned back around and said "there's another line! And it's pink!!" I almost died!! Can I really be pregnant??? I couldn't believe it!!

So when I woke up on Sunday morning I went into the bathroom again and took 2 more tests, both were positive again!! And AF still hadn't shown up so I got even more excited :) Derek has a pretty bad cold right now and kept saying when he feels better he will be jumping up and down with me ♥

This morning I woke up and took another test just to make sure again! and yes, it was positive!!! I have been using those cheap strips and for some reason in the back of my mind I keep telling myself it isn't real, so I have a First Response sitting in the bathroom waiting to be used, I feel like I will believe it when I get a positive on that test! But I am scared... I'm scared that these have been false positives and that I have gotten myself excited over nothing! So I keep putting it off, but tomorrow is the day!

We want to tell our parents and siblings on Thanksgiving so I need to know, for sure, tomorrow. I'm hoping to plan and exciting way too tell them that we are expecting so I will have tomorrow and Wednesday to plan!!

We are sooo excited! I seriously can't believe we are pregnant, and that it happened so fast!!! This time next year we will be planning our baby's first Thanksgiving!!! ♥

I do have some slight cramping but I looked it up and I guess that is usual in the beginning? Hoping so!!! I have also gotten a couple bloody noses over the past couple days and read that, that can also be a pregnancy symptom??? So weird!! The only other "symptom" I have had is sore boobs!

This Thanksgiving I will have something huge to be thankful for!!
