Employee appreciation day

A few months ago Derek told me they had a bunch of toilet paper, paper towels, etc at work that they were going to be giving away to the workers for employee appreciation day. It was so long ago I pretty much forgot about it, until yesterday morning when I got up and started making Derek's lunch to take to work. He told me he didn't need a lunch because they were cooking for them today. I got soooo excited and couldn't wait for him to get home! I seriously jumped up and ran outside when I saw him pull up and start to unload the trunk:) Combined with all the stuff I already have that I got for free, we have enough paper products to last us a year or more!!

In other news I am soooo excited to go see H2 tomorrow! It looks awesome and I love Rob Zombie♥ I'm trying to convince Derek to go to the midnight showing tonight! We will see!

Long picture filled update!

The past few weekends have been very calm(wonderful!) Don't mind all the bad phone pics! I can't get the pictures off my camera and onto my laptop so I have to use my phone and email them to myself!

We went to Sonic again! I'm loving finally having one about 30 minutes away!

Got all of this at the last Kmart double coupons for $10.86

Link finally got himself into the basket in the bookshelf :)


My parents got a new dog Jazzy(Sassy). The black one! The other is Sammy.

We have also been having a lot of game nights :) Nice cheap fun!

My brother and a couple friends stayed over recently and decided to order pizza. I laughed my bum off when I looked over and saw the 2 of them like this! hehehe "Growing" boys are apparently really hungry!

We were supposed to have a yard sale this past weekend but how can you when it looks like this outside everyday?

But it worked out OK because now my mother and aunt putting an ad in the paper for next weekend and I will hopefully make enough to take a good chunk out of the next credit card in line!!

Other than that we have basically been taking turns and playing Fable 2 nonstop :) We are so easy to amuse! Derek had to take some time off from racing to catch up on some bills which I hate! But it had to be done. He should start up again the first weekend in September. Oh and I'm also very excited about football season coming up! I don't know where it came from but last year I developed a new love for it? Go Chargers!!

Membership fee?

So we paid off one of our credit cards last month that we have had a balance on for a long time and today I get a bill for $45.50?? So i call the credit card company and ask what it is and they tell me it's my membership fee! What?!?! Have I been paying $45.50 on top of the ridiculous interest every year!! I told the guy to please cancel my account, and that I do not want to pay any membership fee! Luckily he was very nice and did it without any problem. We have 3 other credit cards with this company(2 have a balance and 1 doesn't) so I asked him to check and see if they all have membership fees. He tells me that the one we don't have a balance on does not, and neither does the one we owe the most money on, but the other one we owe a few hundred on has a $125 membership fee!!! That's insane!! I need to get that paid off and cancelled ASAP! I'm not sure how we are going to do it yet because we already have a payment set up for 8/28 to pay off another credit card(YAY) but we will find a way because I will NOT pay $125 just to have a credit card! Believe me we have enough other ones that we won't miss these 2!

Kmart doubles 8/16-8/22

I just got a confirmation email from Kmart that they will be doing doubles up to $2 from 8/16 to 8/22! Time to get those coupons ready :)

Redbox!

Sorry this is so late but I can't access my blog from the computer I work on all the time(long story). But it's the first Monday of the month which means free Redbox rentals!! Today's code is 27HZ4KT. You can use the code one time per debit/credit card so we usually get a few each time :) You can never have to many movies!

Monthly Goals

So I stopped doing my Monday goals last month and just made a list of monthly goals, it worked much better! So here is my list of August goals and at the end of the month I will post what I got done :)


1. Sew all my ripped/torn clothes.

2. Go through my stockpile/basement and get things together for a Yard Sale.

3. Have Yard Sale.

4. Pay off 1 credit card.

5. Find a place to keep my canning jars.

6. Return broken deep fryer and get a new one.

7. Get pictures together for Christmas presents.

8. Get addresses together for Christmas cards.

9. Scan pictures.

10. Get new litter box.

11. Enter all coke caps.

12. Wash all windows.

I wrote this days ago and forgot to post it!!


Tuesday the 28th was our 6 year anniversary. Since we are trying to cut back on everything we decided just to go to dinner at Red Robin, and apparently we went on kids night because there were lots of screaming kids and Red wandering around :) After dinner we went to Famous Footwear because they were having a buy one get on half off sale. Derek needed sneakers since he has been wearing the same old pair of shoes since the fire and I needed sandals since the only summer shoes I have are flip flops! After that we went home and watched movies for the rest of the night :) It was definitely a nice relaxing night!
