Between now and July 15 there will probably be many posts about the upcoming Harry Potter movie. Sorry. Can't help it. Obsessed.

Monday Goals

This week I have 2 goals since they are both small, first is to finish my coupon binder! I was using an accordion style coupon holder, than 2, than 2 holders and a bunch of envelopes so I finally gave in to the binder. I really liked the idea of baseball card pages but I just can't bring myself to spend the money on them. I will continue to look for them at yard sales and flea markets but for now I came up with a pretty good idea that's working so far, but I only have half of it done so I'm still carrying the accordion holders and the binder! So this week I WILL get the binder finished!!

My second goal is to start making a weekly menu for our dinners. Every week we go to the grocery store and try to decide there what we are going to eat for the week and spend way to much money. Then we get home and find out we had half of the stuff already and of course it wasn't on sale, Ugh. I still haven't gotten the hang of stockpiling food and finding good deals since the only grocery store around here that doubles will only double up to a dollar, and there's not much food on sale for a dollar, so not much free food. But back to my goal. We usually go to the grocery store on Monday night so during the day on Monday I will go through the cabinets and plan our meals around what I have been able to stockpile and hopefully we will only need to buy meat, produce, and a few other things for the week and cut our bills down.

New Purse

I have been trying to find a nice black and white checkered purse for the races for years now and every time I find one I actually like it's way out of my price range!! So when I found my checkered flip flops on valentines day I was determined to get my purse and asked my sister to make me one. She brought it to me yesterday and now all that's left is for me to learn how to embroider, yikes. I want boyfriends number on it but I didn't like any of the patches I was able to find (which weren't many) so I am now in search of some instructions online! I'm really hoping the actual embroidering isn't as hard as finding out how to do it! I will post a picture of the purse once I'm all done. :-)

Avada Kedavra!

I was very excited today when I found out they moved up the release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to July 15! Yes I know it's only 2 days sooner but it was supposed to come out last year and I have waited long enough! So I have started planning A Harry Potter themed party. I plan on going to the Midnight show, so on July 14 I will watch all 5 movies and eat lots of Harry Potter themed food and drink lots of Butter beer! So far I have ideas for candy and snacks but I can't seem to decide what to have for dinner? I re watched all the movies today and the only thing I noticed at every meal was chicken and corn on the cob, which happen to be to of my favorite foods. Hmmmm...... so we will see. I may also end up dressing up for the movie so I have to come up with a cheap costume and decide who I want to dress as!! So much dorky fun to come, I can't wait!

I Heart Kmart!

Thanks to Kmart Super Doubles I have been able to rebuild my stockpile of Health & Beauty, Cleaning Supplies and Cat Food/Treats pretty quick, this last double coupon event(May 3 - May 9) came only 2 weeks after the previous one so I didn't have a ton of coupons but I was able to get some things I NEEDED. It's a little bit higher OOP than I usually like but I needed the pepto and the Listerine wasn't free but it's the flavors boyfriend likes so I stocked up and shouldn't need more for the rest of the year!

That April 19 - April 25 was by far my best double coupon week yet! Not pictured here is 36 bags of cat food and 50 packs of cat treats. No my cat is not 500 pounds, I have 2 friends that have 5 cats each so I try give them some when I can get it free and I also donate to a no kill cat shelter in my town.

Monday Goals

Every Monday on my old blog I would post a new goal for the week for me and I have decided to keep doing that with this new one. Most of the time it is some kind of project like finish a scrapbook or organize a closet etc. This week it's something that I want to stop. I want to stop putting off all the cleaning until the weekend. I always spend most of the weekend cleaning and then I don't pick up anything all week and the place is a disaster again by Saturday. So from now on I am going to keep up with the cleaning during the week so I can spend the weekend with boyfriend! Since I work from home I can clean a little when I wake up before I start working and can clean when I take a break. I'm hoping that will be much easier than cleaning for hours on Saturday and Sunday! Now if I could just get this place organized......... but that's a whole different story!!

Welcome to my blog! i will be using this blog to share all my couponing adventures and all the good times with my Derek and my furbaby Link. My name is Stephanie, I've lived with my Derek for 6 years and we have had our kitty Link since 12/29/2008. I have been "couponing" for a few years now and had a pretty good stockpile but on December 8 2008 we lost our home to a fire. We moved into a new apartment in January and I have been rebuilding my Stockpile! I mostly shop at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Price Chopper, Kmart(for double coupons!!), and sometimes Rite Aid. I got some great deals at Kmart this week during double coupons and as soon as I can get the pictures off my camera I will post them! :)
