The one where I need truck loads of baby dust

Today is CD1! This is officially our first cycle of trying to conceive that will include more than just charting :)

My LP last cycle was 11 days which is still kinda short but better than the 9 day LP of the previous cycle!! While I was looking into B6 and progesterone cream I read some pretty bad horror stories so I am a little scared to try them, and then I cam across a few articles talking about prenatal vitamins and how they have enough B6 in them that they could possibly lengthen your LP. So yesterday while D and I were on our way to look at a house I told him that today was CD1 and that I am worried about my LP and everything I had read, we happened to drive past a natural food store. He asked if I wanted to stop to get prenatal vitamins!!(I love hearing him talk about anything that has to do with us TTC because I still can't believe it's happening!!)
I started taking them last night so fingers crossed they help!!

I am going to pick up some more OPK's and I hear Mucinex helps thin certain things out....

I've become a pro at waking up at 6:30 to take my temperature...

and of course Derek is ready to do his part ;) So bring on the positive OPK and truck loads of sticky baby dust because we are ready to go!!!

The one with the pink baby furniture

Today I am 10DPO!
My temp keeps going up and up and there is no Sign of AF so I am pretty confident that I will have my normal 28 day cycle! You have no idea how happy that makes me!
Now lets just hope {crossing fingers} that I have a repeat of this cycle next month!

I can. not. believe that October is 2 days away and we are 4{count them 1, 2, 3, 4} days away from starting THE cycle! I know that realistically the odds of us getting pregnant on our first official try are pretty slim, but it has to help that it will be my 4th cycle of charting/using OPKs, Right?
I'm not even letting myself *think* about it not working, but if it doesn't we won't be trying the following cycle{for weird personal reasons} would probably pick it up the cycle after that, and then again skip a cycle. Boy are we picky!!!

Yesterday we went to visit friends of ours that are expecting a baby in 4 weeks. It was so fun looking at the nursery and seeing all the pretty pink baby furniture around the house :) She even had a baby plate in her cupboard and baby spoons in the drawer! Shes very prepared even if it will be a few months after Tatum is born before those things are needed;)
I talked to her a little bit about us trying and hopefully little Tatum will have a friend very soon! Maybe a little boyfriend{adorbs}

Now I'm going to go enjoy this beautiful fall day! Oh how I love the fall!

The one with the camel sock

Yesterday I went to a local consignment shop that is going out of business{sad} and got some great deals on adorable *name brand baby clothes! Everything I got was 75% off the already awesome consignment shop prices!
I spent $19 and my mother spent $11 on everything pictured here{minus a cute white Gymboree sweater that was drying}

This is a Gymboree outfit, onesie, pants, sweatshirt, blanket and socks that I paid $5 for.
I think these Gerber onesies were $1?

I don't remember exact prices for all of these but that are mostly Gymboree, Carters, and Old Navy.

Adorable Gymboree outfit with squirrels!

Little girls clothes♥ {I think I secretly want a little girl first, can't decide!!}

Kangaroo and Bear outfit! The little kangaroo in the pouch comes out! So cute!

And just for fun here is a picture of my cedar chest full of clothes and other baby paraphernalia and our closet before this shopping trip

*Not that I am a name brand snob, I just try to buy all name brand clothes second hand because I know they are high quality and if they have already lasted at least 1 child, they should last for all of my children!!

The one where I quote

I had some great conversations with D yesterday that made me realize he is actually paying attention when I go on about all this baby stuff♥

**After getting off the phone with a friend of ours whose girlfriend is pregnant and due in about a month**

Me- I have to call him back after we figure out our schedule to plan a date to go see them before the baby is born.

D- Are we going to bring the the Ricki Lake video?!?!?!(aka The Business of being Born)

Me- She is due in less than a month, I think it's a little late for her to be changing her birth plan and have a home birth, he also said they think she will go early.

D- (Under his breath) Yea she will, if the doctors have their way. *imitates doctor scheduling C-Section*

***D yelling from the shower***

D- Grab the papers I brought home from work and read them.

Me- Okay.

D- I'm not sure what just made me think of them?

Me- Probably because you are in the shower and you always think of random things in there.

D- No it's because you walked in so I started thinking about you, and then babies, and then raising babies in the new house we are going to buy, and then radon being in the house, and then getting the house inspected for radon, and then about how to hire an inspector- and that is what the papers are about :)

Then this morning we woke up late at about 7:45, and he must have asked me 10 times "did you get up at 6:30 and take your temperature?!?!?" lol Yes I woke up at 6:30, took my temp, and somehow fell back to sleep :( But don't worry babe! I got the temperature ♥ Love him.

The one where I ramble

-My temps have been crazy high and crazy low this cycle so far. No sure what is going on but I think the fact that Link was waking me up every 2 hours 2 nights in a row caused my high temps and taking Motrin PM 2 nights in a row(toothache) caused my super low temps!

-I had a positive OPK on CD14(4 days earlier than last cycle) and another positive on CD15! So I'm going to say I will ovulate on Monday CD17. I'm thinking I was jumping to conclusions last cycle thinking I have a Luteal Defect. We will see!

-We found a midwife!!! So so so excited about this one! I searched and searched for one in my area and was so excited when I found one in Long Pond but was worried that we wouldn't like her and I would be stuck without one! After researching her for a while we decided to email her some questions on a Friday night, and she responded to us in 10 MINUTES! I couldn't believe we got a response so fast! We decided right then that she was our Midwife :)

-We decided we are finally in a position where we can afford to purchase a home, went to the bank to see about getting a mortgage, got a call the next day that we were approved, got a call 10 minutes later from a realtor, the next day had a huge list of homes, and the day after that started looking at places!! It all happened so fast! We haven't found the perfect house yet but we aren't giving up :)

-Spent weeks getting ready for a neighborhood yard sale. And a whole night baking to raise money for http://www.nepaanimaladoptionnetwork.com/ . Priced all of my stuff super cheap so I didn't have to bring it back into the house and actually sold everything except 1 small box! Sent that box to a consignment shop :) We made a lot more than I expected and raised a bunch for NEPA-AAN! If it wasn't for me getting the worst sunburn of my life it would have been a perfect day!!

-Annnnnd of course it is FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Woohoo! But since I am a Chargers fan I don't get to watch very many games on TV every year so i spend a lot of time in front of my computer like this:

-I have had to go into work 2 days a week the past 2 weeks, and will be there at least 1 day this coming week. Kinda sucks.

-I have my Halloween decorations out inside the apartment, hoping to get my lights outside this week, and we have the date set for our trip to Robas!! Love this time of year ♥

So yea lots lots lots going on!!! But I am enjoying it! (minus the worst sunburn of my life)

Finally some yard sales!!!

I went to a few yard sales early in the summer but haven't really had time to get to anymore.... until this past weekend!!! I was so excited and scored some really awesome deals!! Here is what I got:

*****All of these books(plus 1 other that was given to my sister) for $1!!! I was super excited about that, I am going to have a full library before we even get pregnant :) And just out of curiosity I looked all of them up on Borders.com and for the ones that are out of print I looked on Amazon.com to see how much I would have spend if I bought all of them new. The total was $59!!! Yay for me saving $58 :)

*** 3 large canning jars $1.00 each = $3.00
*** Large pot I will use for canning, with 6 canning jars in it = $5.00
*** Small Tupperware container = $.10
*** Wooden salt and pepper shakers = Free (my mommy paid for them♥)
*** Tooth pick holder = $.50
*** Pastry Blender = $.50
*** 4 small canning jars(have been looking for one to use when I make my own toothpaste!) = $.75
*** Rolling pin that you fill with water and freeze = $.25
*** Funnel(been looking forever for one of these!!) = $.25
*** Meat Tenderizer = $.50
*** 8 Food shaped magnets = $.50

*** Disney's the Rescuers Game(from 1978 and in awesome condition!! Not 1 piece missing!) = $1.00
*** Garfield Colorforms(from 1977 and again is awesome condition!) = $1.00
*** Toy Story Colorforms = $.25

Then on Sunday we went back to the one estate sale because everything was 50% off and I got:

*** A brush for my furbabies = $1.50
*** A platter for A turkey = $1.50
*** 2 sets of lights for the windows at Christmas time = $1.00
*** A little Christmas car = $.25
*** A mat for my cats to lay on, which they ended up loving!!! = $1.00

So my total spent for the weekend was - $19.85! I think I did pretty darn good!!

CD1

Yep, today is CD1. AF showed up this morning.... I knew she would when my temp was 96.80 yesterday and today :( Which means I definitely have a short Luteal phase(9 days), I kinda figured that was what the problem was, after last cycle and figuring out this cycle that I do ovulate, but I was hoping I was wrong :(

So, what to do now?? I have been doing some research online and think I am going to try either Vitex or B6 to lengthen my LP, just not sure which one yet. I thought getting pregnant was supposed too be easy, and that's why you have to work so hard to prevent it?!?! Oh well, I'm off to crawl under my heating pad. AF is really kicking my bum today!

Here comes fall ♥

I can't believe it is September already!! Fall is definitely my favorite time of year with the leaves changing colors, the cooler weather, our annual trip to the the pumpkin patch, and of course Halloween!!! I think the whole month of October is already filled up between races, pumpkin patches, haunted houses, Halloween, oh and the fact that we are going to(hopefully!!) get pregnant in October ♥ And then the rest of my favorite holidays always come and go so fast, Thanksgiving, Black Friday(yes it's a holiday!) and Christmas! Thinking about being pregnant for these holidays makes me more happy than I think I have ever been!

Now onto cycle news, today is CD28 and normally I would say that means AF should show her ugly face tomorrow but ever since I have started charting it doesn't seem like my body wants to have a 28 day cycle anymore. Last month it was 34 days and I feel like since I O'd on CD20 a 28 day cycle would be to short? My temp dropped a little bit to 97.05 but last cycle it dropped a lot lower the day before AF showed up. Also I'm not really having any period symptoms, the only thing I have is my boobs have been sore pretty much ever since the day I O'd so I don't think that means anything!! I guess I will just wait patiently, or just wait :)

Here's some wonderful pics from last years trip to Roba Family Farms and our lovely pumpkins:
