CD23, CD24, & CD25

CD23- We woke up a little earlier than usual due to going out of town for a race but my temp remained at 97.18. 3rd day in a row it was up so fertilityfriend.com finally agreed with me that I O'd on CD20

CD24- Woke up at my usual 6:30 and my temp had dropped to 96.80. Not sure what that was about but maybe it was from sleeping on an uncomfortable hotel bed?

CD25- Again had slept on the hotel bed and woke up at 6:30 but my temp was back up to 97.18. This is my first full month temping so maybe the drop on 4DPO is normal? I guess I will see next month!!

Here's some pics from the race this weekend at Central PA Speedway. I have never seen so many accidents and people leaving in the ambulance in one weekend! Yikes!

Boyfriend on the track. (white helmet, red jacket)

View from our pit, yea I was bored waiting for the racing to begin!!!

CD20 & CD21

CD20- My temp didn't go up yet but all day I was having some cramping, not period cramps but they were pretty painful!!

CD21-My temp finally spiked!! It was 97.18 so I guess that means I ovulated on CD20 ♥ This makes me so happy!! Also we did BD yesterday (oops!) So maybe we won't be waiting until October to try♥ ♥

CD19

I decided to use 1 more OPK this cycle just to make sure yesterday was my positive and it was nowhere near as dark as yesterday :) So excited!! My BBT this morning was 96.76 which is right around where it has been this whole cycle so I guess that means I should ovulate today and have a spike tomorrow? At least I hope that is what that means!!!

Derek really wants his Leo baby so only 2 months left until we can TRY!!!!!!

I finally got a positive!!!

I was beginning to hate these ovulation tests but I finally got a positive yesterday!!! I started testing on cycle day 10, sometimes the line was kinda dark and sometimes there was no line so it was getting to be frustrating! Finally on CD18 I got was I feel is a definite positive!

To be positive the line on the left has to be as dark or darker than the line on the right, which it clearly is!! Yay!

I am also charting my BBT(basal body temperature) So I should see a jump in my temp tomorrow or the next day! We will see!!

I have always had this fear that I didn't ovulate so I am so glad it looks like I do ♥

Doing it wrong?

Since last month when we decided we were 100% ready to start TTC(still can't believe I can finally say that!!) I have been reading anything and everything I can find about how to get pregnant, because we must be doing it wrong after 6 years of doing nothing to prevent and not getting pregnant! Right? Well all I have to say is all that information is a little overwhelming!! Who knew it could be so hard to get pregnant?? Obviously I can't do everything they say to up my chances of getting my BFP, and I'm not even going to try some of the crazy things!! lol but we are doing some things to help.

First is my weight. I am no were near obese but I can definitely lose a good amount of weight! I was a size 2 when I met Derek, and I am no where near that now! And don't expect to get back there, it wasn't exactly a result of healthy eating/exercise(or eating much at all) We have already started eating a lot better this year than we have in the past. We cut out processed food and I cook as much as I can from scratch, and thanks to my new favorite "store" the farmers market our fridge is always full of yummy fresh fruit and veggies :) We have also started walking every night, since my day is pretty much just sitting at a desk all day staring at a computer! I need to get my body in much better shape to be able to carry a healthy baby for 9 months!! My goal? 20 lbs in 2 months... Realistic or crazy?? We will see!!

Next thing is ovulation predictors, to make sure I do ovulate and to help with the "trying" for a boy. Starting on CD11(today is CD7) of this cycle I will begin using them every day. Supposedly I will get a positive 24-36hrs before I ovulate.

I am also using a basal thermometer to temp every morning at 6:30. And signed up at fertilityfriend.com They say your temp goes up right after you ovulate, so between the OPKS and this I should get a pretty good idea of when I will ovulate!! It has actually been pretty interesting temping, I started 2 weeks before AF showed up and my temp stayed above 97, but the day before AF started it dropped down to 96!!! So I knew the witch was coming :) It has stayed under 97 degrees since then so I am assuming once it goes back above 97 I will have ovulated. But I could be wrong since I am new at this :)

Now heres hoping fo that BFP soon!!!

We are offically..........

We are officially trying to have a baby!!!!!!! We haven't been doing anything to prevent it for the past few years and figured if it happened that would be great, but obviously nothing has happened..... so last month right before our 7 year anniversary we created a "7 year plan" We want a few kids and want to have them all before I am 35(he will be 37 at that time) and want to have at least 2 years between each child sooooo...... we decided that starting this month I will temp and use OPKS!! I usually have a pretty regular 28 day cycle, so for August and September I am going to try to figure out what cycle day I ovulate and we plan to start trying to get pregnant in October!! :) :) :) Derek wants a July baby since his birthday is in July so I would love to get pregnant on our first try but I know it's probably not very likely, but I'm hoping!!! We are also going to "try" to have a boy first because I have always wanted a boy first and of course Derek would love a little mini him♥ But we would both also love a little princess so we will be happy whatever we get♥

We have decided not to tell out family and friends that we are TTC for various reasons but mostly because I know it would hurt if we have trouble getting pregnant and people keep asking us if we are pregnant yet :/ So we figure it will be best to wait until we get pregnant and then we can tell people we had been trying.

I am going to try to get better with updating this blog with our whole TTC journey so I can have it to look back at ♥
