Derek's Birthday!

OK so now that I have spent the past 5 days cleaning(I'm trying to get things together for a yard sale) I can finally post about Derek's 27th birthday! He isn't really that much of a birthday person so he slept in, woke up and got on the computer for a little bit. Then he went to see his Grandma who had just got out of the hospital, went to the Garage to work on his Kart and then once I got done working he came home and we went out to dinner with his parents and my brother.

He's probably on Myspace here, lol

After dinner we dropped my brother off and went for a drive over the mountain to check out the area and see if it's one of the places we will consider buying a house, of course I already knew I like the area it was just a matter of convincing Derek! We ended up stopping at the cemetery to were a friend of mine from high school is buried. Still can't believe it's been 7 years!!

After that we came home and had dessert, since I wasn't able to bake him a cake I found this awesome ice cream from Schwans, I think it was called confetti or something? But anyway it had pieces of cake, icing, and sprinkles in it! It really was much better than I expected it to be!

Friday- Derek had the day off again so I woke up at 6:00am to start working so I could get done at 2:00. We didn't do much of anything, just drove around for a bit, then went to the garage to get everything ready for Saturday and then we went up to my parents because it was my dads birthday but he ended up not being there!
Saturday- We of course went to Derek's race which was fun as usual! We stayed there later than we usually do so they could watch the other people race and I was able to read the rest of my book. Then back to the garage to clean up and home to bed!
Sunday- Derek went to the garage to work on his Kart and I stayed home and cleaned all day! I was exhausted! But it was worth it because now I have 3 boxes overflowing with stuff for the yard sale!

Gilette Fusion Razor .99 at Target!

I just got back from target where I found Manual Fusion Razors for $4.99 and there are $4 coupons out there so I was able to get a few razors for .99! This is the razor Derek uses so I will be taking the rest of the $4 coupons I have and stocking up! :)

Happy Birthday Derek!

Today is Derek's 27th birthday, I'm not sure yet what we will be doing because he isn't much of a Birthday person, so I just let him do whatever he wants on his birthdays. He informed me last night that he took today and tomorrow off so right now he is still in bed♥ We might go out to dinner with his parents but it all depends on if he will be racing tomorrow or Saturday so we will see whats going on in a few hours when he wakes up!

I wanted to share the cake I made Derek last year because I loved it so much. It was probably my all time favorite cake, now if you know me you know how much I love to bake. But since the fire I don't have much baking supplies or recipes, just whatever has been given to me, so I was not able to make Derek a cake this year. But last year I spent hours making him a Batman cake!

I had some trouble with his face but I still love it♥

And so did he!

PS. I miss my beautiful comfortable couches :(

Changes!

I have finally figured out how to do some things to my blog!

  • Got a fancy new signature!
  • A pretty layout finally! (not sure if I'm keeping this one, I'm still looking around)
  • Some pictures and buttons on my sidebar!!
  • And a playlist! Which I made so it doesn't start playing automatically because I personally don't like it when music starts blasting when I go to someones blog.

I've only been using blogger since 2007 and just figured all this out now. haha

***WE PAID OFF ANOTHER CREDIT CARD***

I love days like this! I think this makes 5th one this year(9 more to go....what were we thinking?) It finally feels like all of our hard work is paying off and we are that much closer to being debt free, buying a home, and finally being able to start our family♥

4th of July weekend

Derek and I both had off July 3rd so we had a wonderful long weekend ♥

Thursday night we finally were able to go see Transformers Revenge of the Fallen(using our free tickets again of course) I have to say it wasn't as good as the first one but it was very funny! There were some crude jokes that were not needed and it got a little long at the end, but I will definitely be seeing it again!

Friday morning we woke up with no real plans except I wanted to see fireworks somewhere that night. Derek decided that he wanted to go drive around Wilkes-Barre and see where we ended up, and I was all for that because a Sonic just opened up down there and I haven't been to one since I was in Texas! We got there around 11:00 just before the lunch rush and were able to find an open stall right away. Derek wasn't impressed with the food but he loved his Lime aid and the fact that they brought us our food on skates :-) after Sonic we stopped at a couple other stores to pick up a few things we needed for the house and headed home to watch a couple movies we had from Redbox.

Once it started to get dark we headed to the Casino to watch some great fireworks!

I couldn't get a good picture but this one below is of my favorite one of the night

Saturday we spent the day at Derek race and I "forgot" my sunscreen and got a nice burn(when we got home I found it in the bottom of my bag). But other than that it was a wonderful day!

Sunday morning I woke up in pain from my sunburn so I was late to K-Mart for double and missed out on a couple of the deals I wanted :-( But at least my K-Karts don't stick to the 10 coupon limit so I still got a bunch of good deals. My mother and I usually go to all 3 of our local K-Marts but since I wasn't feeling well we just did one and called it a day. After K-Mart I went to the garage with Derek and Bryon while they cleaned up their karts and got them ready for the next race! It ended up being a pretty amazing weekend, and there's so much stuff coming up in July I'm sure we are going to have a bunch more amazing weekends!
